Selling CVVs on Tor: No Guide, Here's Why

What the law says
18 U.S.C. Section 1029 covers fraud involving access devices, a category that includes credit card account numbers and the security codes attached to them. Trafficking in those devices carries prison time and fines, and the statute reaches people who host, advertise, broker, or facilitate the sale, not only the person who used the card. Section 1028A adds mandatory consecutive terms when identity documents are involved in the same scheme. Federal prosecutors have charged marketplace operators, forum administrators, and card shops as organized criminal enterprises, which means running the store carries more exposure than a single transaction.

Report it. The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center and the FTC both accept reports on stolen payment data and card shops. If the data is yours, contact your card issuer so the account can be closed and the charges reversed.
